Now Hiring Part Time, Full Time, and Career Positions

Commercial cleaners, day porters, and specialists. We hire in every city we serve so your route is close to where you already live.

Why Employees Stay With Us

Most janitorial companies run people ragged. New building every night, no set schedule, and a supervisor you have never met in person.

We do it the other way. You get assigned buildings and you keep them. You learn where the supply closet is, which restroom runs out of paper first, and which tenant works late on Thursdays. That is how the work gets faster and better at the same time.

Our promise to clients is Same Crew, Same Quality, Every Week. That only works if the crew wants to stay. So we build the schedule around keeping people, not around filling holes.

We also hire close to the work. If you live in Oxnard, you should not be driving to Calabasas for a ninety minute stop. The most reliable cleaner in a building is usually the one who lives closest to it, so we build routes around where our people actually live.

What that looks like day to day: equipment and supplies provided, uniforms provided, short drive times between stops, and a route that starts and ends when we said it would.

Open Positions

We hire year round for cleaning routes across every city we serve, and we are actively adding specialists. If you are good at one of these and reliable about showing up, apply even if we have not posted your exact role in your area.

Commercial Cleaners

The core route job. You get assigned buildings and you keep them, so you learn each one instead of starting over every shift.

The work

  • Empty trash, replace liners, haul to the dumpster
  • Clean and restock restrooms, including fixtures, partitions, mirrors, and dispensers
  • Vacuum offices and hallways, mop and spot clean hard floors
  • Wipe touch points: handles, switches, push plates, elevator buttons
  • Clean entry glass and interior glass
  • Flag anything broken or leaking before a tenant calls about it
Schedule
Depends on the building. A lot of our clients close in the middle of the day and get cleaned then. Others get cleaned after their staff goes home. Full time and part time routes both open.

What we need
Reliable transportation, valid license, and able to clear a background check.

Day Porters

One building, one shift, all day. You are the person tenants actually see, and the reason the lobby looks the same at 4pm as it did at 8am.

The work

  • Check and restock restrooms on a set rotation through the day
  • Keep lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and common areas presentable
  • Handle spills and trash overflow as they happen, not at end of shift
  • Wipe entry glass and door hardware as traffic dirties them
  • Set up and reset conference rooms and break rooms
  • Report maintenance issues to the office the same day you see them
Schedule
Business hours at a single building, usually an eight hour shift. Some sites want split coverage across a morning block and an afternoon block instead.

What we need
Presentable and comfortable talking to tenants and property managers, because you will. Porter, custodial, or hospitality experience helps. Able to clear a background check.

Window Washing Technicians

Route based glass work. Storefronts, office entries, and low rise exteriors on a set rotation, plus one time cleans and post construction jobs.

The work

  • Interior and exterior glass on storefronts, entries, and low rise buildings
  • Ladder work and water fed pole work
  • Screen removal, track and sill cleaning, frame wipe down
  • Hard water spotting and construction debris removal on problem glass
  • Keep a tight schedule, since most stops are quick and back to back
  • Work clean around customers, parked cars, and foot traffic
Schedule
Daytime, mostly weekdays. Retail and restaurant stops sometimes run before the doors open so we are out of the way by the time customers arrive.

What we need
Experience preferred, though we will train someone steady, safe, and coachable. Comfortable on a ladder and careful in occupied spaces. Valid license and clean driving record.

Carpet and Floor Care Technicians

The machine work. This is where a building either looks maintained or looks tired, and that comes down to whether the last job was done right.

The work

  • Hot water extraction and low moisture carpet cleaning
  • VCT strip, seal, and wax
  • Burnishing and spray buff on finished floors
  • Tile and grout scrubbing, concrete and other hard surfaces
  • Spot and stain treatment, gum and adhesive removal
  • Move and reset furniture, protect walls, baseboards, and door frames
Schedule
Built around closed hours and weekends when the space sits empty. Project based, so hours move with the job and the season rather than a fixed route.

What we need
Hands on time with extractors, buffers, and auto scrubbers. Tell us which machines you have run and in what kind of buildings. Equipment is provided and kept in working repair.

Building Maintenance Technicians

You fix what the cleaning crew finds. When the cleaner sees the problem and the tech fixes it, nothing sits on a property manager's list for thirty days.

The work

  • Light plumbing: faucets, flush valves, toilets, drains, and disposals
  • Light electrical: fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, lamp and LED swaps
  • Doors and hardware: closers, locks, panic bars, hinges, and thresholds
  • Drywall patch, paint touch up, and ceiling tile replacement
  • Restroom fixtures, partitions, dispensers, and mirrors
  • Small carpentry and repairs across office, retail, medical, and industrial buildings
Schedule
Daytime weekdays, with occasional after hours work on anything that cannot happen with tenants in the space. Steady schedule rather than project to project.

What we need
A broad trades background. Plumbing and electrical basics are what we get called on most. Own hand tools. Valid license, clean driving record, and able to clear a background check.

Sales, Office, and Open Applications

We are building the business side too. And if your job is not listed on this page, apply anyway and tell us what you are good at.

The work

  • Sales reps
  • Account support
  • Scheduling and dispatch
  • Billing and admin
  • Social Media Coordinator, Content Creator, Marketing Coordinator
  • Anything we missed: pressure washing, post construction, whatever you do well
Schedule
Office roles run business hours. Sales runs on its own clock, since property managers are easiest to catch early in the morning or right after a walkthrough.

What we need
Tell us what you have done and what you want to do next. If you are applying for sales, tell us what you have sold and who you sold it to. We are open to hiring any unique positions that bring value

What We Look For

Show up. On time, on the day you said, in uniform. This is most of the job and it is where most people fail.

Notice things. A ceiling tile with a water stain. A door that sticks. A soap dispenser that is empty on a Tuesday. Our clients pay us partly because we tell them about problems before they turn into calls.

Handle keys and alarm codes like they matter. You will have access to buildings after hours. That trust is the whole business.

Speak up when something is wrong. If a machine is broken or the schedule does not work, say so. We would rather fix it than find out three weeks later.

Experience helps. It is not required for cleaning routes. Specialist roles are a different story and we will ask you to walk us through past work.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Able to clear a background check
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and stay on your feet through a shift
  • Spanish or English, both work here

How We Hire

Property managers ask us who walks through their building at nine at night. Here is the honest answer, and it is the same process for every person we bring on.

Application and Phone Call

You send the form. We call you back, usually within a couple of days. Short conversation about your experience, your availability, and what you want out of the job.

Interview With the Owner

You sit down with Mark, the owner. Not a recruiter and not a regional manager. He is the one who makes the call, so you get a straight answer either way, and fast.

Background Check Clears

Every person on our crew clears a background check before they hold a key or an alarm code. No exceptions, and no rushing it because a route needs covering that week.

Training With the Crew

You work alongside someone experienced before you work alone. You learn the building, equipment, and standard we hold. Nobody is handed keys on day one.

You Get Your Own Route

You get assigned buildings and then you keep them. When a client tells us they want the same crew every week, this step is the part that actually makes it true.

FAQ About Working With Conejo Cleaning & Maintenance

Do I need experience to get hired?

Depends on the role. MAny of our positions can be trained with no previous experience.

What we cannot train is showing up on time and caring whether the work is done right. If you bring those, we can teach you the rest. Specialist roles are different. For window washing, floor care, carpet, and maintenance, we will ask you to walk us through the jobs you have done and the equipment you have run.

We clean when the building is empty, and that is not always at night.

Plenty of our clients close in the middle of the day. Dental offices break for lunch, medical suites run half days, and some businesses shut down entirely on certain weekdays. Those buildings get cleaned then. Other routes run in the evening after tenants leave. Day porters work business hours at one building, and floor care gets scheduled around closed hours and weekends. Tell us your availability and we will match you to routes that fit it.

Yes. All of it.

Vacuums, machines, chemicals, and uniforms come from us. You do not buy your own supplies and you do not get charged for equipment.

Every city in Ventura county and the west side of San Fernando Valley

Ventura County from Ventura and Oxnard through Camarillo, Moorpark, Simi Valley, and the Conejo Valley, plus Calabasas, Woodland Hills, and the west San Fernando Valley. Tell us your city on the application. We assign routes near where you live, not wherever there happens to be an opening.

We hire W2 employees.

You are on our payroll, not working under your own business license. If you get hurt on a job, workers comp covers you. A lot of janitorial companies run 1099 crews because it costs them less. We do not, and it is part of why our clients know exactly who is in their building.
